We are back!

Going two weeks without a market is certainly one way to get me excited about seeing our fantastic vendors, regulars, and new faces alike this week! We’ve got a bustling Sunday in store for you, and we can’t wait to see you there.

This week, Orchard Hill Organics will be supplying a beautiful selection of fresh greens, so be sure to check out their display! Their salanova salad has a stronger flavor and longer shelf-life than your typical lettuce, and it would sautee beautifully with pasta from La Trafila and hot coppa from Goode and Local in place of prosciutto. You can also use it to add some fresh, green flavor to stir-fried salt and pepper shrimp from Pura Vida or create mini lettuce wraps with vibrant seasonal veggies from Madura Farm and beef from FarmEats or R&M Farm. Of course, you can always let the flavor speak for itself with a simple but fantastic salad with homemade dill vinaigrette.

Passover is also right around the corner! If you’re already thinking about what you might cook, saffron fish with local veggies would create a colorful centerpiece with skinless fish from Pura Vida and rich olive oil from Agape Premium EVOO mingling perfectly. And why mess with a classic? You can never go wrong with an aromatically spiced brisket. For some arresting sides, try using sweet, earthy carrots from Madura Farm in this zesty Moroccan carrot salad, or farm-fresh eggs from R&M Farm in a warming bowl of egg lemon soup with matzos.

This week, please welcome Nick Storrs from Homegrown Nursery, who works all over the New York area to foster local, functional kitchen gardens with gorgeous edible flowers, vegetables, and herbs alike. Make sure to stop by their tent and pick up some seedlings or transplants! Also, say hi to Amber from Wagon Full Flower Farm, who will be back at IFM following her winter absence! Her colorful handmade bouquets are the perfect reminder that spring is well and truly underway, and they’re sure to brighten any room. If you’re looking for a gorgeous new cutting board, you’re in luck! The woodworkers from KHEM Studios will join us for this market, and you’ll love their simple designs that balance rustic and chic.

We’ll see you at the market!
