Come spend Father's Day with us!
Happy Father's Day, and a heartfelt congratulations to the Irvington High School class of 2025! (Special shoutout to Samantha, our market intern extraordinaire! We're lucky to have you!) Whether you're planning to cook something special, pick up a dish from one of our vendors, or just enjoy a quiet Sunday morning, we're happy to celebrate with you. We'll have a stack of colorful picnic blankets at the market tent, so please borrow one and picnic on the field if you're inspired.
Tivoli Mushrooms is bringing salty, crispy, protein-rich sea beans this Sunday, and you don't need to do much to enjoy these coastal vegetables' briny flavor. Try a simple sea bean salad, complete with garlic, olive oil, and tangy feta from Maplebrook Farm Creamery, or use them to bring some extra saltiness to vegan beer-battered fish tacos. (Fish lovers can stop by Pura Vida to pick up a beautiful filet for classic, summery fish tacos, but the sea beans' saline power is not to be overlooked!)
I absolutely loved the dukkah focaccia I tried at Zeena Bakery a couple weeks ago; it was moist, airy, and perfectly balanced with Egyptian Dukkah warming spices. I recommend trying a slice with one of Jenny's market specials at AYA Hummus for a satisfying snack! Also, you must try Zeena's barazek cookies.
Mambo Italiano is back this week! Their creamy, house-made mozzarella is heavenly on a classic Caprese sandwich, and their vegan roasted veggie and white bean alternative is my must-try this weekend. Both The Dough Nation Pizza Truck is and The Taco Project, so there will be no shortage of lunch options for dads (and grads!).
I longingly pass by Elderberry Road's brookies (brownie-cookies) every time they're at the market, so maybe this is my sign (and yours!) to indulge this week.
The Hampton Grocer returns for the first time this summer with their ridiculously good (and highly addictive) granola. You've been forewarned!
The first sweet cherries of the season should land at the market this week. Why not go savory with them and make this delicious charred bread with ricotta and cherry salsa.
Your market manager will be sneaking onstage to play music with The Altogether from 10:30-12:30. We hope you enjoy it!
